From our home nestled in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, we at Falling Mountain are committed to bringing you the very finest acoustic music. Our music spans a truly breathtaking diversity of styles and influences; a continuum of folk and acoustic music covering literally hundreds of years, from traditional music of many lands to cutting edge contemporary instrumentalists and the latest generation of folk influenced singer/songwriters. If you like to support independent artists directly, you have come to the right place. We've designed our website with you in mind, and we hope you enjoy many visits that inspire you to expand your music collection. All of our CD titles are available for $13.99 at our secure online store as well as providing easy mail and email orders. In addition, you can hear our music streamed or downloaded to your desktop, on broadcast and internet radio worldwide, and at concert appearances across much of North America. Our artists have graced the stages of virtually every major American acoustic music festival; Americana festivals (Telluride Bluegrass, Merlefest, and Walnut Valley); Folk festivals (Falcon Ridge, Rocky Mountain, Kerrville, Greater New Bedford Summerfest); Celtic festivals (Potomac and Erie Celtic Festivals); and major metropolitan and arts festivals such as Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival and the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival. All of our Artist Pages include calendar links, so we hope that will encourage you to reward yourself with a night out at a live performance soon. In addition, our "Songs & Strings" tours bring some of those diverse artists together in concert settings in select areas. We invite you to join our mailing list for periodic updates on tours, new releases and exciting projects, and to read our latest Newsletter from Falling Mountain. If you find the idea of attending a concert compelling, consider hosting a concert for one or more of our artists at your local church, cafe or even the comfort of your own home. We've developed a very handy and easy-to-use resource to guide you through the process, our "How to Host an Acoustic Music Concert" manual. In addition to great discussions on the basics of organizing, presenting and publicizing a concert, it includes a very useful one-page checklist. It is a read-only Microsoft Word document, click here to download. For more information, please send us an email at info@fallingmountain.com. Learn more about how you can help support Falling Mountain and its artists. Radio, press and industry folks may find our Media Center and its many resources about our artists and titles especially useful. Whatever your musical tastes, we're confident that you will find some delights here both familiar and unexpected. Send us a hello at info@fallingmountain.com. Thank you for dropping by, and enjoy your visit. |
