From our home nestled in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, we are committed to bringing you the very finest acoustic music spanning many genres and generations, from the traditional sounds of many lands to contemporary creations and inspirations of singer-songwriters and instrumentalists.

We cherish our one-on-one contact with you, and we hope you enjoy many visits that inspire you to collect some of our titles and catch some of our artists at a concert, festival or workshop. Our "Songs & Strings" tours bring some of those diverse artists together in unique concert performances across North America. We invite you to join our mailing list for periodic updates on tours and new recordings. You can even host one or more of our artists in concert in the comfort of your own home; it's easy with our handy "How-To" Manual.

Why Falling Mountain?

Why should you as a music listener and consumer feel like a part of our family at Falling Mountain?

We live in a world where the music industry at large seeks more complete control over your access to music. Small, independent radio stations and record stores are bought up by large multi-industry conglomerates, who then dictate what small definition of music will be heard between the commercials.

Since 1991, Falling Mountain has chosen a different path, giving a voice to music that has become increasingly marginalized by these commercial forces and forging direct relationships with each of our customers. Our response has been to empower an ever-growing wealth of consumers to seek a wide array of musical choices unimpaired by commercial considerations--via the internet, and through our one-to-one contact with you, our fans. We enthusiastically support and service independent and public radio stations that share our commitment to provide a more diverse and meaningful spectrum of music to their listeners. You no longer need to depend on those large corporate entities to satisfy your musical cravings. Here we are, whenever you'd like to drop by.

We view you the listener and CD-buyer as a vital partner in this mission. Each of our artists is committed to cultivating this synergy one show at a time, one CD at a time, one discerning listener at a time. Thank you very much, and welcome.
