We are delighted that our own Andrew McKnight is one of ten finalists scheduled to perform in the prestigious Songwriter Showcase at the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival in Lyons CO, on Friday August 15th. They had a record 689 entries this year, but apparently they were enamored enough of "Times We're Living In" from his latest CD Something Worth Standing For to extend Andrew one of those coveted invites. Andrew will also perform an in-the-round set on the Wildflower Stage on Saturday or Sunday.
In addition to the 10 Showcase finalists, the 2008 festival lineup includes KT Tunstall, Amos Lee, Greg Brown, Nanci Griffith, The Waifs, Todd Snider, Tim O'Brien, Dar Williams, and many more. For more about Folks Fest and to get tickets please visit www.planetbluegrass.com.
