In addition to their usual busy calendars of concerts, festivals and workshops, several of our artists have joined together on stages across the continent in our "Songs & Strings" tours. Collectively our music spans many centuries and many genres, from traditional songs and sounds of many lands to cutting-edge contemporary instrumentalists and the latest generation of folk-influenced singer/songwriters. The synergy 2 or 3 different artists bring to the stage, highlighting our common musical threads as well as our stylistic differences, has delighted audiences even more than we had anticipated. Each "Songs & Strings" concert is a unique musical and spoken word odyssey telling stories of times, places, and people through the voices and music of our artists. Such a diverse program provides an intriguing opportunity for presenters to broaden their audience. If you find the idea of attending a "Songs & Strings" concert compelling, but find that our schedule doesn't include your area, consider hosting a concert at your local church, cafe or even the comfort of your own home! We've developed a very handy and easy-to-use resource to guide you through the process, our "How to Host an Acoustic Music Concert" manual. In addition to great discussions on the basics of organizing, presenting and publicizing a concert, it includes a very useful one-page checklist. It is a read-only Microsoft Word document, click here to download. For programming information or to inquire about bringing a "Songs & Strings" concert to your area, send us an email at info@fallingmountain.com - thanks!
